MétisWorks is an independent practice: service and innovation design for companies that need a new service, a clearer strategy, or a design capability of their own. Based in Zurich, working in English, Italian and German.
Human centred approach, business and experience, passion for technology.
From the first strategic question to a service your teams can build, and to the capability that keeps it alive.
Opportunity spaces, service concepts and a roadmap, grounded in customer research and market signals, so you know where to invest before you build.
Research, mindsets and archetypes, customer journeys, service blueprints and concepts your teams can build, tested with the people they are for.
Set up or grow an in-house design practice, coach the team, and teach Design Thinking so the way of working outlives the project.
Engagements are sized to the question, not to a standard package. Most start small.
Two to four weeks that end with a decision, not a deck: what the opportunity is, what to do first, and what it is worth.
I join your team and lead the design work end to end, with your people or alongside your agency.
Holding a design lead or head of design role while you build, hire or reorganise.
Design Thinking and service design, from a single session to a full programme, for teams and for executives.
When a programme needs a bigger team, I bring in trusted independent studios and specialists, and stay accountable for the work.
Métis is the Greek goddess of practical, resourceful intelligence: knowing what to do next, and doing it well.
I am Luisa. For twenty years I have worked where people, technology and business meet: digital product management at Vodafone, customer value management and loyalty consulting at Accenture, and ten years at Fjord, Accenture's design and innovation arm, as Design Lead and Director.
I have designed and launched services in telco, banking, insurance, life sciences and energy, across Switzerland, Italy, the UAE, Greece, Romania and Turkey. I built and co-led a design studio of 15 inside a telco, and led programmes from a first strategic question to launch. Engineering degree, MBA, and a habit of asking what a service is really for.
Design without a business case is a proposal. A business case without design is a spreadsheet. I work where the two meet, the only place things actually launch.
I started in engineering and customer value management, where every change had to show up in a number. Design taught me the other half: why people do what they do.
Tell me the question you are sitting with. If I am the right person for it, I will say so; if I am not, I will tell you that too.
